The Chaplaincy is a Christian organisation, supported by the churches of Colwyn Bay and Rhos which form Colwyn Bay and Rhos Cytun, a member of Cytun Wales. Membership extends to Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI) and the World Council of Churches.
Lay Chaplains are members of churches of various denominations, which form Colwyn Bay & Rhos Cytun. The Lead Ordained Chaplain is from a church in good standing with Wales Cytun/CTBI. Chaplains offer an impartial, non-judgemental and confidential ear to anyone who wishes to talk with them. They will work with any company or business outlet in the town.
The Chaplaincy aims to support the people who work in or visit the town centre, each with a variety of ongoing concerns or immediate needs. The chaplaincy exists to enhance the emotional and spiritual well-being of people of all faiths or no faith. This is done by providing trained volunteer Christian Chaplains, who can meet with them in the town centre, or visit them in their workplace or other agree venue, reflecting the love of God to those they meet.
